WORK AS MEDICINE

Work As Medicine arose organically as a community response in loving reciprocity with the plants, the animals, and the land. While tending the land, we tend each other in an act of love, solidarity, and decolonization. When on the land, your relationship with time, memory, foods, and medicines begins to heal.

The land heals us and we heal her.

This tending varies seasonally - sometimes we’re making herbal medicine together that gets shared with community and relatives, and other times we are harvesting together, tending and mulching garden beds, canning and preserving foods, dehydrating berries and flowers, distilling oils and hydrosols, and so much more.

In 2026, Rose Island Farm will be collaborating with Delamesa Farm to host Work As Medicine gatherings.

Gatherings will occur every Saturday and will alternate between Rose Island Farm and Delamesa Farm. Learn more about them at https://www.delamesafarms.com/

During our time together, we’ll also enjoy a potluck lunch.

We’re kicking off our 2026 Work As Medicine season!
